The Engineering Company (TEC) is a civil infrastructure firm headquartered in Aventura, Florida, with operations across Miami-Dade and Broward counties. Founded in 2021 by Omar Herrera, PE, TEC delivers high-impact engineering, project management, and construction services with a focus on improving the quality of life in the communities we serve. Our mission is to design and build infrastructure that empowers cities and elevates everyday experiences. From water and sewer systems to roadways and multimodal transportation solutions, our work is rooted in strategic planning, technical precision, and client collaboration. Our vision is ambitious: to positively impact infrastructure in 1,000 cities by 2032. TEC provides end-to-end capabilities across four core service areas: Civil Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). We manage everything from feasibility studies and design to permitting, QA/QC, staff augmentation, and operational documentation. Our team uses industry-leading software, including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, and MicroStation, to ensure efficient design and coordination with agencies and stakeholders. As a young and rapidly growing firm, we are committed to scalability, innovation, and accountability.
