The Engineering Shedd began as 'Chubb Engineering' in 1998 under Gary Chubb's ownership, offering storage tank design and inspection work, along with structural steel design, enclosure strength analysis for explosion protection systems, and foundation designs. Over the years our clients have not only recognized our experience and ability within the bulk storage industry but have requested we expand our engineering capabilities to assist in other areas of design relative to their businesses. The company has recently settled into the brand-new office building in Oswego, KS. The new 1,400 sq ft office building, decorated with historical Oswego artifacts, houses the company comfortably with room for growth. At the end of 2021, Gary transitioned to 100% retirement, and transferred full ownership over to Kevin Sheddrick. In the final transfer, Kevin shifted the company name to 'The Engineering Shedd' at the beginning of 2022 marking 24 years of operations for the firm, noting a prestigious level of continued experience in servicing the bulk material handling and storage fields. The Engineering Shedd provides in-house PE and SE review sealing capabilities for 47 States. With a vast majority of the United States covered in house, our customers receive a quick turn-around, many times within 24 hours Additional States, Provinces, Territories, and North American Countries are readily available through The Engineering Shedd. Structural Engineer (SE) seals are also available for most States where it is specifically required. We can also provide ME and EL seals for most states if either of these specific fields of engineering expertise are required.
