About The EPI Center
The EPI Center was established to redefine educator preparation through pathbreaking, research-driven approaches. With a commitment to elevating teacher effectiveness, the organization provides a comprehensive continuum of services designed to equip educators with the skills, knowledge, and support necessary to drive student success. The EPI Center provides: Customized Professional Learning; Personalized Praxis Support; On-Demand Micro-credentials; and Instructional Coaching. Educators can earn while they learn through our EPIC (Educators Prepared to Impact Communities) Apprenticeship program. EPIC is registered with the United States Department of Labor. Apprentices must already be employed with a school district. The EPI Center, in partnership with the National Board of Professional Teaching Standards, assists hundreds of educators to become national board certified, recognized as the “gold standard” in teacher certification. The EPI Center serves educators in seven states (Arkansas, Illinois, Maryland, Michigan, Oklahoma, and Tennessee), including 25 K-12 public school districts in South Carolina. Our reach extends nationwide to prepare those who want to become educators for alternative certification and support educators currently leading classrooms in becoming more effective. Additionally, the EPI Center has co-constructed mutually-beneficial relationships with educators in universities and schools all over the world to inform our work. Some connections include Barbados, Guyana, and Canada. Contact the EPI Center to discover how to participate in our programs or how your school district or organization can partner with us.
