The Ervin Consulting Group (ECG) is a woman-owned business established in 1994. Our mission is to provide consulting services that support clients who develop communities which embrace, honor and fully use the inherent strength of their diversity - both human and environmental - for a world that is healthy, safe and at peace. ECG provides consulting services with a dual focus: • ECG Environmental, providing environmental planning and assessment services, and • ECG International, providing conflict resolution, mediation and peacebuilding services. This dual focus reflects the unique experience, background and education of ECG’s Principal, Gail M. Ervin, Ph.D., grounded in the commitment to enhancing positive socioeconomic and environmental sustainability through diverse participation and engagement. Dr. Ervin has over 30 years of experience in environmental planning, environmental and public policy mediation, and community capacity building, and has been involved in conflict resolution capacity development efforts on five continents. Her broad professional experience, uniquely complemented by her active local and international civic engagement, provides a thorough understanding of public policy analysis, public dispute resolution, project management, public outreach, and development issues from multiple perspectives. ECG excels in meeting tight project timelines with budgets that reflect low overhead expenses. As dictated by workload and project, ECG brings on other independents or subconsulting firms to create high-caliber, low-overhead, project-specific teams. This greatly reduces overhead, avoids the bureaucracy and time constraints of a large organization, and therefore substantially reduces the time and costs. ECG's Key Associates are assembled in strong project teams with extensive experience to meet our client's unique needs.
