About The Faulkner & Davenport Foundation
The Faulkner & Davenport Foundation was created to honor the legacies of two men who shaped my life—Jessie Faulkner and Joseph Davenport. Though they never met, their silent struggles as survivors of childhood sexual abuse inspired a movement. Black men have been conditioned to suffer in silence, carrying trauma that affects their mental health, relationships, and families. At The Faulkner & Davenport Foundation, we believe that healing begins when silence ends. We provide survivors with a safe space for healing, mentorship, and leadership development. Through survivor-led initiatives, advocacy, and community support, we are building a future where Black men can reclaim their strength without shame.
