The Financial Navigator is a UK based firm of independent mortgage and protection advisers. It follows in the steps of The Mortgage Explorer whose name was sold in 2019, and changed to The Financial Navigator. We specialise in all types of mortgages and commercial lending for the UK market. This range includes a most specific product: Equity Release which requires our advisers to be specifically qualified to provide advice. When it comes to protection, we deal with all the important UK based insurers. The products that we offer to the general public are: Life Assurance, Critical Illness, Income Protection, Private Medical Insurance. The products that we offer to the business community are Key Man Insurance, Directors' Relevant Life cover , Group Income Protection Plans and Private Medical Insurance, Shareholders Protection Scheme. As it is legally compulsory for Building Insurance upon the purchase of a property, we are qualified to provide Building Insurance Plans for residential, Buy to Lets and Commercial properties to our clients Our Principal was once master of ships, commanding some of the World's largest vessels of the time and upon coming ashore in 1991, he catered and still does for his UK based fellow seafarers when it comes to understanding their tax status in relation to buying/selling residential and investment properties. In addition and since 2003, an important component of our business has been helping dentists and doctors nationwide, raising capital to meet their needs to buy/remortgage residential, buy to lets properties and their surgeries. This now makes up 60% of annual turnover. In line with its nautical characteristics, The Financial Navigator supports two charities associated with the sea: Apostleship Of The Sea and the RNLI. At its last Board meeting the Directors agreed to make a continuous donation to these two organisations- the money deriving directly from its business activities
