The First Tee of Omaha improves the lives of young people in the greater Omaha area by strengthening character, teaching life enhancing values, and promoting healthy choices through the game of golf. The First Tee programs teach the area's youth Nine Core Values - Honesty, Integrity, Responsibility, Respect, Sportsmanship, Courtesy, Judgment, Perseverance, and Confidence. The First Tee of Omaha was founded in 2002 through a collaborative effort involving PGA Professional Steve Hogan, the Hogan’s Junior Golf Heroes Foundation and The First Tee. Prior to 2002, Mr. Hogan was a recognized leader and passionate promoter of junior golf in the greater Omaha area.
