About The Florence Academy of Art / Sweden
The Florence Academy of Art was founded in 1991 by Daniel Graves to provide the highest level of instruction in classical drawing, painting and sculpture. Graves' vision of the Academy is its potential to train a select group of highly skilled Realist painters and sculptors. The program at FAA/Sweden is an exact replica of the one in Florence in both the physical requirements of the studio and teaching method. As a result, students may transfer seamlessly into the same level between Florence and Mölndal, or spend a trimester of study as an exchange student. The Florence Academy of Art, Sweden is recognized by the The Swedish National Agency for Higher Vocational Education and has been approved for study assistance (Level B1) through CSN The mother school, FAA/Florence is: - a branch of the International Academy of Fine Art and has been recognized to be a tax-exempt charitable organization under Section 501 c 3 of the Internal Revenue Code of the United States since 2000 - recognized by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Italian Ministry of Universities as a foreign non-profit university-level program - a member of the Association of American College and University Programs in Italy (AACUPI) - affiliated with Laguna College of Art and Design in Laguna Beach, CA
