About The ForUsGirls Foundation
The ForUsGirls Foundation is a registered not-for-profit community-international organization committed to the celebration, acceptance, and development of marginalized unique, fierce and daring young women and girls. Based in Montreal, Canada. The ForUsGirls Foundation provides mentorship, skills-based and leadership programs to empower young women and girls to be community and global feminist leaders. We work within a feminist, social justice, inclusive, and holistic wellness framework. We engage, educate and empower our program participants and community members. C for Coding for Coding prepares young women and girls from diverse social background with programming skills to start their own businesses and careers as web-designers and front-end programmers. Our introductory HTML & CC + web design program provide girls with basic coding skills; the ability to create their own website; knowledge of digital marketing & branding. Girls' Club A lunch hour program to create a safe space for girls who identify as girl. Girls’ Club provides a safe space for girls to be their full authentic selves, build their self esteem, develop leadership skills and be inspired to make a change in their community and the world. Our 13-unit program calendar engages girls on the following subject matters & issues: bullying, healthy relationships, feminism, social activism, digital citizenship, entrepreneurship mental health awareness and innovation. This is a full school year program with two semester: Fall & Winter. SDGs Young Global Leaders YGL is a 7-week global leadership & professional development training for young women aged 14-22. The program develops the young women as global leaders and champions of the (SDGs) UN Sustainable Development Global Goals. Participants will create a social impact project or business committed to the Global Goals.
