About The Free Clinics
At The Free Clinics, we know that health is everyone’s responsibility. We are a community of volunteers working together to make Henderson and Polk counties a healthier place to live, work, learn, and play for our neighbors in need and for ourselves. One in 5 residents in Henderson & Polk Counties qualifies for our services; that need has not changed, even after full implementation of the Affordable Care Act. Through The Free Clinics, our community comes together, helping our most vulnerable neighbors address their health concerns—with everything from access to a doctor’s visit and medications to lack of healthy food or transportation challenges. Helping our neighbors in need helps us all. Anyone can help! We can always use more volunteers, help spreading the word about our services, and, of course, donations. A lot of our donors appreciate knowing that we turn every dollar we receive into $7.50 worth of care for our patients!
