About The Friendship Community Center & LIFT Teen Center

The Friendship Community Center is a communal space in Suttons Bay, MI committed to providing opportunities that encourage and enrich multigenerational and multicultural relationships within the Leelanau County community. The Center offers and hosts a wide variety of programs ranging from monthly community dinners and yoga classes to Step Aerobics and Tai Chi to Tae Kwon Do, community meal distribution and more. Our flagship, and most widely recognized program though, is the LIFT Teen Center. Existing to empower Leelanau County’s youth to discover and embrace their strengths to become kind leaders by investing in their evolution, autonomy, and character, LIFT operates Monday - Friday in three Leelanau County schools. Through consistent out of schooltime engagement such as after-school programming, classroom leadership, extracurricular involvement and beyond, LIFT helps Leelanau County teens feel heard, seen and loved as they grow into the best possible versions of themselves.
