It is often through tragedy that we find our purpose, our calling in life, our inspiration. From the year 2006-2008, four people in the family of the founders were taken by the cruel hand of cancer. Michael’s stepdad, father, and grandmother, as well as Kimberly’s father were all victims of cancer. Throughout the devastating effects, they were there to help each other. It was after all of this loss that the couple realized they had indeed found their calling in life. They hope to be able to provide the help others needed as quickly as they needed it. It is a sad fact that loss provokes action, but when it does, the results are made of unbreakable forces. The determination and conviction that comes from seeing the dark side of life is unmatched. After November 2008, The Give a Gift Foundation was born and continues to grow day by day.
