About The Global Advocacy Alliance
The Global Advocacy Alliance (GAA) (Norwegian org. no: 933928438) is a network of advocates from across the globe, collaborating across all disciplines—academic, legal and industry—to advocate for the realisation of our international human rights and greater accessibility to human rights legal knowledge and representation. Our organisation conducts its work across three branches: the Advocacy Branch; the Research Branch; and our Crisis Operations. Our advocates are lawyers, barristers, historians, educators, anthropologists, architects, environmental conservationists, criminologists, media campaigners, journalists, biologists, and chemists working together to strategise and enforce our collective human rights. GAA recognises human, animal and environmental rights as equally essential and inseparable within our advocacy. As such, our initiatives seek to evolve individual, societal, environmental and animal justice. At the core of GAA’s philosophy is maximising our capacity to do this work. As such we retain as much of our funding for the payment of our advocates and for the block funding devoted to our Crisis Operations. We do not dedicate funding to social media output or advertising. Our website is built and updated for free by our advocates using Notion. All of our advocates are self-employed and work from their place of residence, which means we are a virtual organisation and will not put our funding towards rent or purchase of property.
