About The Glow Initiative
As a former career executive, our founder recognized the impact coaching can have on professional trajectory. As a coach, she recognized the transformational power coaching can have in the lives of women. Despite all the potential for impact, there are many barriers standing between coaching and the women it could serve. With the average cost of a single hour of coaching coming in at $272 in North America, many people, companies, and nonprofits are priced out of access. The Glow Initiative (Glowi) began one rainy March morning as one woman's response to UN Women's 2024 call to invest in women. Our founder reached out to coaches in her network and beyond with one simple ask: will you join me in donating pro bono coaching to women in need for International Women's Day? What began that day quickly scaled to a vast network of impact. Over 100 coaches donating nearly 1,000 hours of pro bono coaching, generating an estimated economic impact of $255,000 USD. Glowi matched over 300 women with professional coaching and helped expand program impact for six nonprofits. The results speak for themselves: 96% of participants report meaningful transformation. 100% experience sustained positive changes six months later. Nonprofits report expanded staff resourcing, capacity, and wellbeing. Now, Glowi is continuing to innovate and expand access to coaching for women in need and the nonprofits that serve them through our pioneering LONO model—a Low-Profit/Nonprofit hybrid that combines fiscal sponsorship for tax-deductible donations with humanist business practices. The Glow Initiative delivers professional coaching—including program management, coach recruitment and oversight, and impact reporting—at a cost that's up to 75% below average market rates. We position impact over profit, because together, we glow brighter.
