About The Gluten Free Kitchen

We are a small bakery in the heart of North Yorkshire, run by Sue Powell and David Fleming, the owners, creators and inspiration behind The Gluten Free Kitchen Ltd. Aware of the challenges faced by people with coeliac disease when sourcing good quality food that is free from gluten, Sue began to experiment with a series of recipes. The range of dishes created by Sue set a high standard for taste, appearance, texture and shelf life. The ‘free from’ ethos opens up this delicious range of foods to those wishing to remove gluten, wheat and dairy from their diet, whilst not compromising on flavour. This innovation has continued and been recognised by a flurry of national awards for her ‘free from’ cakes, puddings and savoury pies. Since starting out in 2005, The Gluten Free Kitchen has grown rapidly. The business is still very much Yorkshire based but has moved to Leyburn with larger production facilities and a retail outlet. We now offer a range of gluten, wheat and dairy free products, as well as egg and soya free, and vegan and vegetarian friendly products. Our products can now be sourced throughout the UK, with a selection of products in a number of Waitrose and Sainsbury Stores as well as independent outlets such as farm shops and high end tea rooms throughout the UK. And of course, our full range is available to buy from our online shop and have delivered straight to your door.
