About The Goldfinch Foundation

The Goldfinch Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the mental wellness of young people through creativity, connection, education, and emotional expression. Founded in 2024 in honor of Owen Willers — a gifted artist, athlete, and mental health advocate — the foundation is grounded in the belief that true well-being requires more than clinical care. It requires meaningful relationships, purpose, and space to grow. GFF offers experiential, off-screen programs that foster authentic connection and resilience among youth ages 14–29. Our work includes student ambassador initiatives, wellness events, arts-based workshops, expert-led panels, and a science-informed curriculum rooted in research on flourishing, emotional regulation, and social well-being. Our core values — creativity, connection, education, movement, nature, access, and advocacy — guide everything we do. We believe young people are not passive recipients of care but heroes in their own story. Our programming is designed to empower them with tools, language, and community support to navigate life with courage and purpose. GFF collaborates with schools, mental health professionals, artists, and nonprofits to co-create programs that reflect the voices and needs of young people today.
