Interior designers Lena and Stephanie founded The Good Design Company in 2021. With over 16 years of experience in retail, hospitality and workplace design; The Good Design Company is passionate about creating thoughtful spaces that meet the client brief. Taking cues from the existing architecture, they design spaces that will bring joy to the end user. Having had experience with an assortment of clients and projects, nothing is too big or small. Lena and Stephanie work closely with their clients to take the project from concept through to completion. This involves initial concepts, developed and detailed design, applying for building consents and exemptions, liaising with engineers and other external trades as needed, construction documentation and onsite attendance during the build. Collaboration and a high level of communication along with an obsession for the smallest design details ensure a successful end result. Lena and Stephanie first met when they started working together at a small Interior Design studio on the North Shore of Auckland. Firm friends from day one they couldn’t believe their luck getting to work with their best friend every day. After a while an opportunity arose for Lena that she couldn’t refuse and eventually Stephanie moved on to other positions. After three years apart the stars aligned, and the dream team reunited and started The Good Design Company. Lena and Stephanie work so well together as they both have a passion for design and having fun. Both have a strong work ethic and a desire to strive for success. When their favourite song comes on they have voices like angels…(ok that part is a lie, do not hire them for their singing voices).
