About The Hanen Centre
Since 1975, The Hanen Centre (a not-for-profit charitable organization) has specialized in helping speech-language pathologists and early childhood education consultants/trainers work more effectively with parents and educators. We take the latest research in early language development and translate it into practical, immediately usable tools and strategies for achieving the best possible social, language and literacy outcomes for young children. We offer a variety of professional development opportunities for Hanen Certified speech-language pathologists and early childhood educators, as well as for those who have not taken any of our certification workshops. These include e-seminars and workshops on a variety of topics including reading and literacy, autism, and language delay. We also produce a number of resources for professionals working in early childhood settings, as well as for those working with parents. These include easy to use, accessible workbooks, guidebooks and DVDs that help empower parents and educators in facilitating young children's language and literacy development.
