About The Harpies
We are The Harpies, an independent project collective formed by three artists in the Providence area: Ayla Ahlquist, Mariah Min, and Tina Wolstencroft. As writers and comedians, our work has most often taken the form of improv, sketch, and musical comedy performances, bringing us to venues such as the Contemporary Theater Company in Wakefield, Wage House Comedy Theater in Pawtucket, the Columbus and Wilbury Theaters in Providence, the Magnet Theater in NYC, and Philly Improv Theater in (you guessed it) Philadelphia. We have individual experience in various sectors of the performing arts—set design, libretto writing, stand-up, and dramatic production, just to name a few—and we are thrilled to now be collaborating on our first original musical: One Providence Place.
