The Health Creation Network exists to transform how we think about and approach community health creation, challenging the status quo belief that it is solely up to health professionals to “fix” us. It is time that we invest in the health creation potential of individuals and communities in order to grow more resilient and robust health ecosystems. We believe that health is created when individuals and communities achieve a sense of purpose, social connection, confidence, and control over their own lives and immediate environment. By paying close attention to what people can do for themselves and others, our mission is to create a model that provides the space and support for thousands of non-health professionals to become health creators themselves! We are carrying out this mission by integrating a strengths-based social prescribing program into healthcare and everyday community life.
