About The Heron Partnership
The Heron Partnership is an actuarial and superannuation consultancy established in 2002. Most of our work is strategic around the changing superannuation environment and how employers, fund trustees and financial institutions should react to those changes. In addition to strategic superannuation advice, we provide general, technical and actuarial advice as well as superannuation product research, assessments and ratings. Typically, work we undertake includes: • Strategic advice to employers regarding the operation of their superannuation arrangements, including assessment of the fund’s competitiveness and appropriateness; • Superannuation fund outsourcing tenders (covering commercial funds and industry funds); • Superannuation administration, investment and custodian tenders; • Group life insurance and salary continuance tenders; • Product ratings (retail, corporate and industry funds); • Statutory actuarial advice, including completion of actuarial valuations and certificates; • Strategic actuarial advice, including benefit design issues, forward planning and management of conversions to accumulation benefits; • Policy Committee support through independent advice and service provider monitoring; • Investment advice (default investment option, comparative performance, etc); and • A broad range of strategic commercially focused superannuation advice.
