Wirral Youth Zone - named by local young people as ‘The Hive’ - is a purpose-built, state of the art, iconic facility for Wirral's young people aged 8–19 (up to age 25 for young people with additional needs) on Bright Street in Birkenhead. We're here to ensure every young person on the Wirral has somewhere to go, something to do and someone to talk to. The Hive is fizzing with incredible activities for young people to try and take part in - including sports, fitness, dance, arts, music, media, enterprise, cooking, mentoring, wellbeing and self-development. The Hive boasts a high spec music room, a 4G rooftop pitch, enterprise media suite, climbing wall, multi-use four court sports hall, cafe, dance studio, gym, cooking area, general recreation area and much more. The Hive is part of the OnSide network of youth zones, and is staffed by an incredible team of skilled youth workers who are dedicated to helping every young person see what they can achieve - and to go for it. Access to these fantastic facilities costs just £5 for an annual membership and 50p per visit.
