Founded in 1959 by Harry O. Hefter and acquired in 2019 by Santiago Garcia, The HOH Group became the first majority-owned architecture and engineering firm in the Chicagoland area to be acquired by a minority owner. Since the transition, HOH has nearly doubled in size under Santiago’s leadership, strengthening its technical capabilities and cultivating mentor-protégé relationships with established industry leaders. HOH is a certified Minority Business Enterprise (MBE), Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE), and SBA 8(a) Small Business. As a multi-disciplinary A/E firm, we provide a full range of architectural and engineering services including civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical design, as well as construction management. Our work supports a wide range of clients across transportation, municipal, and institutional sectors. We hold key roles with agencies such as the Illinois Tollway (GEC), Metra (PMO), and have prime contracts with the City of Chicago Department of Aviation, Public Building Commission, Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT), Illinois Capital Development Board (CDB), and Cook County, among others.
