About The Holocaust Remembrance Association (HRA18)
The Holocaust Remembrance Association envisions a world united in standing against persecution, prejudice, and indifference. Rooted in the lessons of history, we are dedicated to honoring the memory of Holocaust victims and survivors by combating the ingrained hatred that fuels antisemitism and inspiring future generations to defend the Jewish people. Our focus transcends the devastating images of the Holocaust, centering instead on stories of resilience, hope, and courage—survivors who endured unimaginable suffering, rescuers who risked everything to save lives, and descendants who seek reconciliation. Based in Northeast Houston, Texas, the Holocaust Remembrance Association is a 501(c)(3) educational organization formed by Jewish descendants of Holocaust survivors and their Christian allies. Together, we strive to sensitize hearts, educate minds, and promote healing and reconciliation to build a world where such atrocities never happen again. Through education, storytelling, and solidarity, we aim to inspire meaningful action and foster enduring hope. The Holocaust Remembrance Association is proud to lead a variety of impactful initiatives, including: The March of Remembrance Texas – A public expression of remembrance and reconciliation. The Upstander Stone Project – Honoring individuals who took a stand against hatred and injustice. The Holocaust Garden of Hope – A living memorial educating and inspiring future generations. The Holocaust Remembrance Association Scholarship Program – Supporting students committed to Holocaust education and combating antisemitism. Virtual Coffee Encounters – Facilitating meaningful conversations about history, remembrance, and justice. Together, these programs embody our commitment to education, remembrance, and action.
