About The Institute of Macroeconomic Analysis and Development of the Republic of Slovenia
IMAD (The Institute of Macroeconomic Analysis and Development of the Republic of Slovenia) is an independent government office. We are responsible for preparation of macroeconomic forecasts that servse as the basis for budgetary planning, we monitor and analyse current trends and development in its economic, social and enviromental dimensions and achieving of the developmental objectives of the country; as national productivity board we analyse productivity and competitiveness. IMAD is an independent government office since 2011, its Director answers directly to the President of the Government. IMAD enjoys complete independence regarding technical and methodological questions related to the use of analytical and forecasting tools and the interpretation of results. IMAD is issuing several publications: - Forecast of Economic Trends represents background document used by Slovenia's government in preparing economic policy measures and drafting the state budget and is released (at least) twice per year, - Slovenian Economic Mirror monthly presents and comments on current macroeconomic developments, - Development Report is a document monitoring the implementation of the Slovenian Development Strategy, - Productivity Report is annual report, which includes analysis of productivity and competitiveness developments, we are preparing it as national productivity board, - Short Analyses include in-house expert's research papers, that are usually related to current events and their effects - Author's Contributions feature in-house expert research papers and contributions by external authors, - In the Institute's archives you can find some other publications, that currently aren't regulary published, such as Economic Issues, Indicators of Well-Being and others.
