Welcome to The Insurance Institute of Halifax & Bradford. I am honoured to take over as President this year, succeeding Suzanne Mitchell, who has done an outstanding job over the past two years. This year, my focus will be on promoting the longevity and sustainability of our Institute by actively engaging our younger members. Their involvement is crucial to ensuring we have a strong future voice within the industry. We warmly welcome new members from both the Insurance and Finance Industries and we can offer a wealth of information to support you in the early stages of your career, including CPD opportunities and networking to help you advance. My chosen charity is Cash for Kids | Helping the children that need it most who are dedicated to improving the lives of disadvantaged children and young people in our area, from birth up to 18 years old. They collaborate with businesses, charities, and community groups that share their vision, making a difference for families in need by providing year-round grant funding and Christmas gifts. They also believe that every child deserves the opportunity to thrive and be their true selves. Their current project is fighting Holiday Hunger in the region so that no child goes without food during the school holidays. I am excited to represent our members this year and will continue building on the strong foundations laid last year to help our Institute grow. I will work closely with my Deputy President, Kay Lang, to ensure our Institute thrives for future generations. Many thanks Amanda Shaw President
