The Itihāas Company is in the thoughtful pursuit of Antiquated Maximalism, reimagining historic prints and patterns into one of a kind luxury interior textiles and products. Our aim is to help tell stories through our pieces that currently comprise of velvet cushions, throws, dining sets and much more by bringing home a recreated version of history and helping add legacy and provenance to ornamentation design in a new form. All our products have a back story from their origin, how we edited, reimagined our patterns, or just left them as pure as possible. With full transparency and a mini history lesson, our more-is-more style storytelling is an important part of our brand ethos because we want your space to feel lived in and layered as if it has stood though time while collecting stories of its inhabitants only to pass it down to another generation. We pride ourselves on sustainably creating our luxury textiles in small batches, specially handmade in India. We love reigniting life into 17th and 18th century designs by creating pieces that work in the home of a minimalist or maximalist alike, even though we are partial to a maximalist heavily decorated space
