The Joint Replacement Clinic (JRC) was founded by Professor Jegan Krishnan (former Chair of Orthopaedic Surgery at Flinders University) and Dr. Sunil Reddy (Deputy Head of Orthopaedics, Lyell McEwin and Modbury Hospitals). With almost 50 years combined experience and training at some of the world’s most prestigious surgical colleges and institutions, we are internationally recognised as experts in the field of orthopaedic practice. Inspired by our mutual belief that treatment should be made simpler and more accessible for those seeking relief from orthopaedic conditions, we have created the JRC Care Pathway; a holistic, no cost approach to superior quality care that is an Australian first. Patient benefits include: • No out of pocket expenses – the first and only ‘no gap’ joint replacement service in Australia • Superior quality service – delivered by a team of highly skilled surgeons, nurses and health providers • The latest technologies – complemented by the most up-to-date surgical techniques and procedures • A single point of contact – a JRC Liaison & Support person co-ordinates the entire patient care experience from end-to-end Following a GP referral, patients meet with JRC for their initial consultation. A time is then booked for surgery, and JRC co-ordinates the entire Care Pathway with all relevant health providers including Surgeons, Anaesthetists and Physiotherapists across every stage of treatment and recovery. Also included are transport to and from hospital, RDNS-based in-home assistance, provision of mobility aids and follow-up physiotherapy sessions in a tailored 10-day programme from the day of surgery.
