The Kalgidhar Trust UK is an education-focused organisation who is fighting the cancer of drugs and alcohol abuse by promoting value-based Education among the economically weak rural children. It also works for Social welfare of rural people by providing Women empowerment and Healthcare to these deprived segments of society in far-flung rural areas of North India. Primarily, our focus is to provide cost-effective yet quality oriented holistic schooling to rural & underprivileged children. For the purpose, we build & run schools in rural backward regions of northern India, providing value-based education integrated with stark infrastructure, E-classrooms & other modern facilities/amenities like RO drinking water, sanitary washrooms, etc. It has been instrumental in bringing about silent but sure reforms to uplift the socio-economic status of the rural poor areas of north india which are being covered with 129 outstanding low-cost CBSE pattern Schools, providing modern yet value-based education, a framework which gives equal status to both character development and academic attainment to around 70,000 students. Our students are mostly from rural deprived sections of the society and our schools admit them regardless of caste, creed, region, religion and social status. Other than the schools, the Trust runs 24 Colleges, 2 Private Universities, 6 Free Teachers Training Centers to empower 2000 rural girls, 1 (280 bed) Hospital, 3 De-addiction Centers, Orphanage home, Old Age home, Rehabilitation Centers for distressed women other than holding 4 Free Medical/Surgery Camps annually for rural poor in hilly areas of Sirmaur, Himachal Pradesh. For penetration of value-based education to cover the kids at village cluster levels, the future outlook is to build 500 more such schools. We serve all people, regardless of religion, race, ethnicity, or gender.
