About The Khushtaar Initiative
The Khushtaar Initiative (TKI) is dedicated to alleviating the unique challenges faced by Indian Muslim women in accessing consistent, quality and holistic health resources, in relation to all determinants of their health, through culturally sensitised and evidence based solutions. š The Pillars of our Work are: 1. Grass-root level implementation of evidence-based, highly customised solutions 2. Policy interventions through spearheading of research on Indian Muslim Women and their healthcare indicators 3. Creation of an ecosystem of partners/allies across fields, to empower 1M Indian Muslim Women and Girls by 2029 Q1 to become catalysts of positive, sustainable impact themselves. Our Pilot Project under TKI is the GIST (Girls Inspiring Social Transformation) Program, which focusses on improving access to, awareness of, and utilisation of health resources by socio-economically underprivileged Indian Muslim girls, and also amplifying the impact by enabling them to champion the cause in their own community/circles. By the end of 2025, we plan on impacting 1 lakh girls across India, in four phases.
