The country is at a point of anxiety in dealing with mass shootings/active shooters. As much as there have been procedures put in place and movement to combat mental health issues we still see to not be able to prevent these incidences. We can argue that because these incidences are so unpredictable it is extremely difficult to know when and where the next will occur. Now is the time to take actions and try to assist in this matter. IN recent years we have seen that out educational institutions have been targets for these incidents and something needs to be done and quickly. This came the birth of The Knight’s Watch, a geosocial application that assist users in getting to a destination safely and emergency response. The Watch allows users to create a Watch list (friends, family, emergency responders, dispatchers etc.) that will instantly be notification of its activation and relay data (Location, emergency) as well as create a message capability to the user and Watchers from anywhere. What this does is create a stealth response in situations such as an active shooter, as well as connects a user in danger to authorities and loved ones in real time. The Knight’s Watch aims to integrate directly into educational institutions already established emergency system to allow a more efficient response to an emergency or multiple users in danger. Knowing the location and details of a user(s) in danger allows authorities to response quickly and prevent causalities. As a parent the last thing we wish is for our kids to be in danger when we are not around to assist. Wouldn’t it be good to know were, what is going on, and have instant connection to your child? This is what The Knight’s Watch achieves and in real time. Knowing is the most important thing in most situation and being able to get and relay adequate information in the midst of an emergency is comforting to both parents, users, and authorities.
