The Kokosing Institute is a student-led research initiative working to bring young people into the heart of public debate. We focus on the issues shaping our generation: AI, economic stress, digital culture, mental health and produce research that reflects how students are experiencing them in real time. We also teach research skills along the way. Through mentorship and hands-on work, we help students learn how to ask meaningful questions, analyze data, and communicate clearly. The goal is to make sure the next generation is ready to lead, not just follow, when it's their turn. Our projects include the Youth Futures Survey, media partnerships, and youth-written reports that connect lived experience with policy conversations. Founded at Kenyon College, based in San Francisco, and expanding nationally, we are building a future where policy is created with young people, not just about them.
