Founded in 2017, The Kristoffer Larsen BIG HEART Memorial Foundation has been established within the Community Foundation of the Fox River Valley , an Illinois not-for-profit corporation and a charitable organization described in sections 501(c)(3) and 170(b)(1)(A)(vi) of the Internal Revenue Code. Kristoffer Larsen suffered a sudden cardiac death on May 27th 2016 at age 22. He was a healthy and active young man that cared greatly for his siblings, family, friends and people around him. Our work is dedicated in his honor and to help prevent sudden cardiac deaths. Sudden cardiac death claims the lives of more than ~9,000 young adults annually.
