About The LAB Learning Space
The Lab Learning Space - Education Reimagined. The Lab is a replication of the innovative Khan Lab School model and is located in downtown Long Beach, California and is based on the concepts of the One World Classroom and collaborative learning. The Lab provides highly personalized educational support for each child using a combination of on-line learning platforms like the Khan Academy, and hands-on, collaborative, project based learning where students focus on learning about and impacting real problems in the local community. Teachers at the Lab work with each child to set individualized learning goals, and coach each child to help build their independence skills, and accomplish their weekly learning goals. The Lab is open to 1st through 8th grade students. Classes are available from 8:30-5:00 each day in math, English Language Arts, coding, art, social emotional skills, Spanish, and outer wellness.
