About The Lawson Center
Founded by Managing Partner Scott Spicer in 2025, The Lawson Center seeks to fill an unmet need in our system of care by offering integrated mental health and dual diagnosis care including outpatient clinical mental health therapy, groups, addiction medicine and psychiatry. The team is on a bold mission to expand access to integrated mental health and dual diagnosis care, by scaling from outpatient to residential treatment before 2030. Beginning with a virtual launch led by a group of highly experienced and qualified behavioral health professionals, The Lawson Center is operating as a small cohort model focused on mood, trauma and neurobiology. Inspired by lived experience from the loss of Lawson Spicer to his battle with depression and chronic illness and Scott's own journey with traumatic brain injury and co-occuring mental health, The Lawson Center intends to serve those like Scott and Lawson who on many occasions were lost in a system that's lacking in access to an interim between hospitalization and outpatient care. Our system remains fragmented. People seeking recovery from a mental health diagnosis and their loved ones are caught in a web, to piece together the services they want and need to achieve wellness and pursue life goals, remaining independent and self sufficient. Our current system leads those diagnosed with a mental illness to believe they can't work and their future is dismal. Those who do fight hard to live a meaningful life, are often brought down when a crisis happens. Our team is here to change that and our future is bright. Join us.
