About The Lawyer Coach

The Lawyer Coach provides coaching services to individual lawyers and law firms. We work with clients from across Canada and the United States. Our clients range from sole practitioners to lawyers at large national firms. We have worked with clients from virtually every area of practice, and all levels of seniority, from newly called associates to senior partners transitioning to retirement. Clients come to us for assistance in the following areas: business development, practice management, time management, career transition, and leadership. Our ultimate goal as coaches is to help our lawyer clients enjoy fulfilling and satisfying legal careers and lives. Sometimes this means helping a lawyer grow their practice while making sure they are getting the family and friends time that helps them thrive. It can be working with a new Managing Partner on honing her personal leadership skills. Helping a lawyer with a career transition. It also can be supporting a lawyer with developing a strong practice management foundation. These days we are all experiencing what we like to call the "work-life mash-up." The boundaries between our professional and personal lives have blurred as we work at our kitchen table in the morning, check email at the movie theatre, and login from the bedside. New strategies are required to ensure that we reap the benefits of flexibility that technology provides rather than becoming imprisoned in a workday that never ends. In all our coaching we aim to help our clients develop the mindset, practices, and skills that can help them thrive in the modern work environment. In addition to one-on-one coaching we offer group coaching programs, as well presentations and facilitation of workshops on a range of topics.
