About The Learning Place
The Learning Place is a not-for-profit providing literacy education and key life-skills training to committed learners in Peel Region (Mississauga, Brampton and Caledon). The Learning Place focuses on classroom learning, which we believe is beneficial for everyone as we learn more about how to work with others, how to share ideas and how to stand up for ourselves and our ideas in a respectful way. The Learning Place helps committed non-readers with literacy programming designed to help them reach their goals in tackling real-life reading-related situations. We are also open to the Peel Community at large, providing relevant classes and learning opportunities for individuals interested in improving key life skills such as applying for a job, maintaining personal banking, or using the internet.
