About The Legal Revolution
The Legal Revolution is a part of All Square's nonprofit social enterprise. TLR is a movement to transform the legal discipline through a series of initiatives that center racial equity, wellness, and the expertise of those most impacted by the law. At present, our two primary initiatives are The Prison to Law Pipeline and The Law Firm. The Prison to Law Pipeline exists to ensure that incarcerated and formerly incarcerated scholars have access to legal education because nobody warrants access to the law more than those who have been impacted by the legal system and racialized legal outcomes. Our Pipeline partners with accredited paralegal and law schools, private law firms, the Law School Admissions Counsel (LSAC), community organizations and the Department of Corrections to offer legal education and externships that lead directly to employment and positions of power in the legal discipline. The Law Firm provides civil legal services including pardons, commutations, expungements, human services licensing and business formation support. If you have questions about these services, please contact us. Additionally, our firm is the first in the nation to provide legal externships to currently incarcerated law students and paralegals. Through this program and others, our firm is a training ground for currently and formerly incarcerated individuals and legal practitioners, creating innovative ways for those with lived experience to engage in legal work.
