About The Mabel Tainter Center for the Arts

The Mabel Tainter Center for the Arts is a tax-exempt non-profit organization that strives to strengthen and connect our community by engaging people in the arts. The Mabel Tainter Center for the Arts, commonly refereed to as just "The Mabel" or "Our Mabel", offers a full performing arts season, outreach programming, educational opportunities, and an excellent venue for weddings, conferences, and celebrations. The Board of Directors of The Mabel Tainter Center for the Arts owns and operates the historic facility formerly known as the Mabel Tainter Memorial Theater. In addition to providing our own programming, the Mabel Tainter Center for the Arts partners with many community organizations, including University of Wisconsin Stout, Menomonie Public Library, The Menomonie School District and other area schools, the Menomonie Theater Guild, and many more! In 2014 The Mabel Tainter was listed as on of the 15 most spectacular theaters in the world by CNN Travel and in 2015 Architectural Digest rated the Mabel as one of Americas 14 most beautiful historic theaters. From performances, to art exhibits, to weddings, to historic tours and yes, even ghost tours (spooky!), there is always something going on at the Mabel.
