About The Maglan Friends Foundation

In 2006, the graduates of the elite commando unit MAGLAN founded a non-profit Foundation for doing good and giving back to society. The organization has set itself a number of goals, the first of which is to support social mobility through education and mentoring among teens in suburban Israel. The second goal is to guide its graduates for smoother integration in civil life and its challenges. This includes career guidance and alumni networking activities, professional trade seminars, and university study scholarships. The third goal is building and facilitating post trauma seminars aimed at graduates for enabling them to share express, process and treat military-service experiences. The seminars are based on team-therapy that is based on their original service-team-members. The fourth goal is to provide for the families of the lost ones from the unit, for the families of those who have given their lives in the service of the country, and to create for them cultural and recreational events and to bond them with the alumni. The organisation values and honors our fallen soldiers and aims at strengthening the bond with their beloved families. The organisation believes in “small teams create big impact” and translate it into “small teams create good things and give back to society”! We use our power and volunteers to support our communities!
