At Makeshift Muse we are working to provide an inclusive space for makers and creators to grow their businesses and thrive. We are constantly inspired by all the talented small businesses out there doing their thing, sharing their passion, and creating a product they stand behind proudly. There is so much power in the story behind our products and that story can be a cause for concern or an opportunity for connection depending on where you shop. Makeshift Muse was created to fulfill a need in San Luis Obispo, CA. With so many talented artists & small business owners, we needed a platform for them to come together and share their work with the community. We create the space for small businesses to grow, gain exposure, & interact with their customers in a fun environment complete with live music, local beer & wine, food trucks, workshops, and yoga! We started in January of 2018 and since then have planned & completed around 200 markets in San Luis Obispo, Venice Beach, and Los Alamos.
