About The Margo Fowler Family Foundation
Established in 2023, The Margo Fowler Family Foundation is a 501© (3) organization and family foundation that is dedicated to assisting people with Frontotemporal Dementia (FTD) and other rare neurodegenerative disorders by providing education and support services for individuals and families affected by these diseases; funding research for diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and cures; and raising awareness through advocacy and promotional efforts. Based in the greater Chicagoland area, the foundation was created to honor Margo Fowler’s commitment to service and helping those in need. Although she has FTD, Margo is determined to make a difference by helping others afflicted with this disease as well as their families and friends. Donations to Margo’s foundation serve the dual purposes of 1) connecting people with FTD and their families to valuable information and local resources, and 2) supporting research for future treatments. The Margo Fowler Family Foundation partners with several key non-profit organizations, including Northwestern Medicine, The Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration (AFTD) and DePaul University’s Speech & Language Clinic. The foundation is working with these organizations to improve the lives of people affected by FTD and striving toward a future free of this disease.
