The Maryland Employment Network is a statewide network of 9 high-performing, outcome-driven partner agencies, in addition to our in house staff, that help individuals who are receiving Social Security benefits go to work. The Maryland Employment Network is committed to reducing barriers which impede employment and assist Marylanders with disabilities to reach their full potential. Maryland Employment Network will decrease stigma and increase independence, self-sufficiency and quality of life by providing high quality employment and benefits counseling services. We believe that, through work, anyone, regardless of disability, can find means to meet overall rehabilitation and financial goals! In addition to offering job placement and support services and benefits counseling to Social Security beneficiaries, the Maryland Employment Network also offers staffing and recruiting services to employers. The Maryland Employment Network can assist employers with: - Candidate Matching- Employers let us know what they are looking for in a potential employee and we provide them with qualified, pre-screened candidates ready to fill their positions. - Assistance with Orientation and Training- Our staff are available to attend orientation and training with new hires, to reduce the training burden and cost on employers. - Personnel Support- Our staff are available to assist employers with providing feedback and communicating with new hires, as well as providing assistance with problem-solving work related issues. Our staff are well-versed in the Americans with Disabilities Act, Section 503 of the Rehabilitation Act and EEOC, and can provide education and support to employers regarding reasonable accommodations, federal bonding and other laws and regulations. All services are provided to eligible Social Security beneficiaries and employers partnering with us completely free of charge! The Maryland Employment Network is housed in Bel Air, but proudly serves the entire state!
