The Medical Educator Consortium (MEC) is an accredited ACCME provider since 2004, specializing in medical education. MEC's mission is to foster professional growth by providing activities that inform, enhance skills, and encourage idea exchange among medical specialists. Our strategic focus centers on offering a diverse range of activities emphasizing cutting-edge medical insights and advanced educational strategies for interprofessional teams. MEC's Continuing Education (CE) initiatives target audiences at national, international, and local levels. These programs prioritize: Identifying Barriers: Addressing factors impacting patient outcomes. Bridging Gaps: Overcoming interprofessional knowledge and practice disparities. Promoting Collaboration: Encouraging lifelong interprofessional learning and enhancing clinical practice. MEC's CE Program is overseen by dedicated full-time staff, supported by the CME Advisory Board, comprising volunteer physicians, nurses, pharmacists, researchers, and more. Alongside our Executive Director, a team of six full-time staff members drives our CE mission. Our CE Advisory Board, Executive Director, and CE staff collectively possess over 30 years of expertise in developing activities that enrich the knowledge and competence of healthcare professionals, ultimately leading to improved patient outcomes. The CE Advisory Board shapes the program's organizational structure and content, while the Executive Director guides research, reviews, and develops activities based on research and needs assessments. To ensure alignment with our mission, the CE Advisory Board provides strategic direction for CE Activities. Under the Executive Director's leadership, the CE staff implements program content, retains expert faculty, and designs educational conduits, reinforcing MEC's commitment to advancing medical education.
