The Mind Gig empowers children across the world to better manage their thoughts and emotions. We are working globally to help improve the way children feel about themselves. Teaching children, parents and carers everything they need, to be resilient in the face of life’s challenges, with a focus on building self-confidence and reassurance in order to live a happy and successful life. Our schools programme covers the Relationships and Mental wellbeing aspects of the statutory RSE curriculum for Primary Schools (Foundation & Years 1-6), with minimal teacher preparation time needed. The lessons are fun, engaging and proactive, in that we teach children strategies they can take with them throughout their lives, to better cope with whatever challenges they may face. Each lesson teaches children an area of our mighty Mind Gig Method, which contains the 5 areas of Connection, Thoughts Not Facts, Self-Awareness, Growth Mindset and Mindfulness – and how if we have each of these blocks working in our lives then our mental health is more likely to be strong. We will teach children how to become strong in each of these areas, with strategies given to help them overcome whatever their challenge is. Every lesson includes tricks or tasks that the child can easily do and take with them, to use in their everyday life when they are faced with a challenge. If we can work on children really knowing who they are, really being happy with who they are, knowing how to handle their emotions, how to have a growth mindset, how to be mindful, knowing that there is only one of them and that they are brilliant - then we will be setting them up for success throughout their lives.
