My name is Stefanie Lawson and I'm a licensed therapist in NC who helps clients to develop healthier relationships with food, body and inner-self while following the Health at Every Size or HAES model! I have over 7 years of clinical experience, as well as a personal understanding of what it's like to live with and recover from disordered eating and negative body image. The truth is, we live in a world where toxic diet culture, society’s unrealistic beauty standards, traditional media, and negative social media images and messaging constantly tell us we’re not good enough, we’re not thin enough, we’re not curvy enough, we’re not beautiful or desirable enough. As a therapist, I understand how these external factors, as well as factors like underlying trauma, anxiety and depression can all contribute to our relationships with food, our bodies and our inner-selves.
