About The Mini Farm Project

The Mini Farm Project is a registered charity and social enterprise. OUR WHY We believe that the vulnerable in our communities deserve continuous access to good quality and nutritious food. We believe that food insecurity can be eliminated through a chain of special purpose urban and Peri-Urban farms, specifically designed to produce food for those in need through food relief agencies and local charities. OUR VISION To create a growing network of thriving urban and Peri-Urban environments that positively impact environmental sustainability and support socially inclusive based food systems. OUR MISSION To transform underutilised spaces into productive urban and peri-urban farms that contribute to environmental sustainability and enhance social well-being. Achieved by: (1) Growing food using permaculture principles (2) Accessing growing spaces through a land sharing model. (3) Collaborating with established community organisations to: - Increase food security by providing emergency access to nutritious food - Enhance food justice in communities that experience high rates of social disadvantage by working with people to grow, eat and sell fresh, healthy, culturally appropriate food.
