The Montana Mining Association (MMA) is a Montana trade association dedicated to helping mining companies, small miners and allied trade members succeed, understand, comply and function in a complex business and regulatory world. The primary purpose of the Montana Mining Association is to protect and promote the mining industry in the state. The Montana Mining Association monitors issues of concern and provides representation for its members at the state legislature and with various state and federal regulatory agencies. The Montana Mining Association supports national mining initiatives. The Montana Mining Association provides information and education for its members and distributes information to the general public about the contribution of minerals and mining to our economy and well being. One of the Association’s primary functions is to promote and enhance the image of the mining industry. The Montana Mining Association works in cooperation with other state and national mining associations, natural resource trade associations and groups with similar interests and needs. The Association serves the industry on a wide range of subjects through the expertise of its members. Many of the Association’s activities are conducted by various committees. The Association has active Associates. Committees within the Association are Health and Safety (including the Health and Safety of employees within the Association), Education, Membership and Legislative (including Environmental and Land Use and Political Action Committee)
