About The N.C. Zeitgeist Foundation
The main purpose of the The N.C. Zeitgeist Foundation is the furtherance and support of the transatlantic relations in the Carolinas. The Foundation has two goals: • To put Charlotte and the Carolinas on the political map of the German institutions in Washington DC, Berlin, and the German states. • To convey following aspects of German life to the population in Charlotte and the Carolinas: art and culture, politics and journalism, history, sports, and military. The Foundation has organized or organizes: • An artists’ tour (TEASE – Transatlantic Exhibition of Art in the Southeast), with own curator who has staged vernissages in the Carolinas and in Germany. • A Grand-Speaker-Series with interesting and prominent personalities of German and international diplomacy, politics, academia, business, journalism, religion, and military. • First German Opera Ball in Charlotte. • Historic symposiums. • Sport Events.
