About The Nantucket Dreamland
The Nantucket Dreamland is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enriching the cultural and intellectual life of Nantucket by offering entertainment programming, year-round. The Dreamland produced more than 150 special events and live programming annually and is home to the Dreamland Stage Company, Nantucket’s premier theatre arts program for children and families. The Dreamland is also Nantucket’s only theatre that features both blockbuster and independent films and operates the Dreamland Drive-In at 7 Nobadeer Farm Road during the summer months. The Dreamland’s mission is to build community on Nantucket year-round, through shared experiences in film, the arts, live theatre, culture, and learning. Featuring world-class arts and cultural programming on Nantucket is the Dreamland’s number one priority. Located in the heart of downtown Nantucket, the Dreamland is LEED Certified from the United States Green Building Council (USGBC) as an environmentally sustaining “green” facility and is open year-round. This state-of-the-art complex features a 314 seat Main Theater, a Studio Theater with seating for 140 and the Harborview room and terrace with waterfront views. All spaces host a wide variety of special event offerings. With a rich history dating back over 190 years, the Dreamland was lovingly restored through the generosity of patrons and community members in 2012 and re-opened as the Nantucket Dreamland Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the performing arts, education, film and live theatre on Nantucket Island.
